We commute 6,086 miles everyday

Flatsourcing is a global software development firm with offices in New Orleans, Louisiana and Kazan, Russia. We specialize in Ruby on Rails and WordPress MU.

It’s no secret that the world is getting smaller. Advances in communications and technology make connecting people across the world easy and instantaneous. We’re big fans of the book: The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman, which inspired us to name our company Flatsourcing.

Chris Schultz, President

Chris has been passionate about the Internet since the days of Prodigy & CompuServe. In the late 90’s he developed a relationship with Oleg, Alex, & Timur and Flatsourcing evolved from there. Chris spends his days digging for tools to bring Kazan and New Orleans ever closer to our clients. He generally keeps the business end of the operation running and loves talking to clients about their business. While he’s generally the business guy of the operations, with a mechanical engineering degree and a passion for computers dating back to his old TRS-80 he is sufficiently geek qualified.

Timur Vafin, CTO

Timur spends all the time looking for the abstract perfection in the RubyOnRails, PHP, etc. LAMP-based code. He is always looking for something..something even better, faster, efficient.

Never ask anything before asking Google. Never develop complex technical solution without confirming the approach with Timur. True master of the code.

Oleg Kurnosov, COO

Oleg is the consummate professional. He cares deeply about his clients and their success and for better or worse is willing to commit on weekends and stay late to ensure deadlines are hit.

Project management skills are fantastic, he is able to monitor and manage an incredible amount of information flow and keep things moving.

Alexey Mamaev, Chief Designer

Alex is the king of the pixels and the interface design. He cares about pixels, that’s why they love him and always group properly in most popular browsers. Interfaces design is everything..it’s what we see, it’s what we use to interact with programming code in the back-end.

This man knows about the future of web-design, so we always come to him for a design advice!
