As I was catching up on my daily ingestion of news from the Interwebs today, I can across the following story from the New York Times about a new group video chat feature coming from our friends at Skype. I personally spend so much time using Skype that it’s one of a small handful of apps that I automatically launch when I boot up my machine. As much as I hate to admit it, we’ve never quite found the right solution for group video chats.

For 1 on 1 video chats, Skype has always been our application of choice. Unfortunately, for those situations when we’ve needed to conference together our U.S. office, our Russian office, and a client somewhere in between, we have never been able to find the perfect tool for the job. While it’s initial rollout will be PC only, a Mac version is expected to come shortly thereafter. Communication is an absolutely critical component of being a successful partner to our clients, so each incremental improvement in the tools we use is magnified in it’s importance to us.

We hope that this new feature set in one of our core tools will allow us to continue to improve our performance and our relationships with each and every one of our clients. We recognize that every step towards greater transparency we take increases our clients’ confidence in us, so it’s something we constantly work on.
